Our Lifestyle Support Workers may work in the following areas:

High Support Needs

Your enthusiasm and reliability will be key in these varied roles, as you support and assist people with disabilities in a range of personal care and/or support tasks to encourage full participation in the community.

This will include assisting service users to participate and make choices in community activities, maintaining normal daily routines and activities and providing personal care assistance when necessary.

These are fantastic roles for motivated and friendly individuals who are looking to take their first step into the disability industry!

As a casual position, all successful candidates will be required to work on an on-call basis, with a roster that operates over a twenty-four hour and seven day a week period. This will provide you with fantastic flexible working arrangements with a majority of sleepovers, day or support shifts, therefore you must be very reliable in your attendance and nomination of shifts.

Independent Living

The duties required to be performed by the employees will vary depending on the skills and abilities of the service user. These may include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with personal care, grooming and hygiene
  • Maintaining service users personal and household laundry
  • Assisting Service Users to prepare and cook meals
  • Completing various household duties as per duty roster
  • Recording entries to financial ledgers
  • Supporting general health and well-being of the service user
  • Encourage community integration and participation
  • Developing service user skills and abilities
  • Assisting the service user with their identified goals
  • Maintaining service user, employee and household safety, by following Workplace Health and Safety policy, procedures and reporting guidelines
  • Completing all required Agency paperwork and diary entries
  • Attend unit meetings and any other meetings as deemed necessary by the Chief Executive Officer
